Inscription on a gravestone at Stanton Hine Heath in Shropshire:

"SAMUEL Vickers died 31.10.1833 aged 87. He lived in the family of the CORBETS as a labourer more than 60 years and brought up a family of 12 children without Parochial relief.
This stone was erected as a token of his honesty, fidelity and industry by Sir ANDREW CORBET Bart. of Acton Reynald.
ANNE VICKERS wife of SAMUEL VICKERS died 7.3.1823 aged 69."
